چکیده

T HE HUMAN immunodeficiency virus (HIV) has been identified as the causal agent for the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Impaired hematopoiesis, immune-mediated cytopenia, and altered coagulation parameters have been described following HIV infection. This review will discuss the clinical manifestations, postulated pathophysiology, and current therapeutic approaches to the hematologic abnormalities associated with HIV.
